mixing in cool edit pro (with delta1010lt)

was wondering the best way to mix down with this type of setup..
(cool edit pro 2, yamaha mg 16/4, and delta 1010lt)
mixing in cool edit pro is kind of a drag because its not in real time, but i probally could get used to it.. just wondering if there is a better way? like if i run 8 tracks out to the board and back into the delta? or mabee back in to some other type of recording device? just wondering the best way to do it. thanks.

I use Cool Edit 2, Delta 1010lt and a 16 track board with 8 separate ins and outs for 8 channels. I too didn't like moving around "nodes" in Cool Edit to adjust stuff so what I do is send the tracks back out to the board to mix, and then send it back.
