Mixing Homework

Might be a topic for the mp3 mixing clinic, but I was wondering if anyone has started a mixing practice sort of thread? I think it would be neat if someone posted their finished song, and the dry tracks they used to make that mix, and let us newbies try to match, or mix our own way just for some practice.
 
I can send ya some stuff if you want. Just need an email address. What music style are you into? BTW, what happened with the beer can diffuser?
 
There used to be a ton of those "Mixing Contest/Competition" threads, but seems like no one has posted one in almost a year (if not more!).
 
Beer can diffuser is still chuggin along! Had a month out of state to visit family so i got a little behind. I'll take anything you've got, I'd like to get more practice with hard rock, anything that's got a lot going on... got a metal band that needs my help but they're still writing. I'll pm you my e-mail addy.
 
Hard rock it is then. Tracks for a couple songs uploading now. Swami-Beltane, and Plot 38-Forever Scarred. You can check out my mixes of these on my website.

I would LOVE THIS. If anyone can send me some mixing stems, that would be much appreciated...I want to try and mix other musician's work instead of my own...Hip Hop can wear on the mixing ear...gotta keep it fresh. Help me keep it fresh! <3

Same for me, it would be great to have this kind of practice. Not as a contest, but just as a way to develop my mixing abilities. Really any kind of music, i dont mind. Just not some really heavy death metal stuff. If anyone is willing to share their tracks, please PM me :D
 
I have a song that might benefit from some practice....should I link you guys to the Grooveshark wav file?

do you have the dry tracks for that song or is it just a complete song? not much you can do if it's all put together.
 
I have the dry tracks saved to my computer in addition to the complete mix with eq/comp
