Hello,
I'm using the demo of N-track to record (until I can afford to register) and i need to mix down the tracks into one wav so i can convert it to mp3. I barely have any space left on my hard drive because of these massive wav files, so im pretty much stuck until i can mix it down and convert it. Does anyone know of a free program that will mixdown? is that even possible? i don't know, I'm completely clueless, so any help would be appreciated. thanks!
Mike

I don't know if this will help you . . .

But Pro Tools has a free version on available. I'm pretty sure that you can mixdown with it. Now this would only work if all of your wav files (tracks) are stored seperately on your Hard drive.

And another drawback is that Pro Tools FREE is 15MB by itself so you may run into a storage space problem. But you can give it a shot.

--Tax :D

You should really register that N-Track...it is worth much, much more than what it costs....promise me you will register it and ill tell you how you can mixdown before registering.....

I do intend to register, probably within a month, as soon as I get the cash.

Once you have your tracks where you want them, arm a new track to record in stereo....set up your soundcards mixer to record from the loopback or mix or whatever your soundcard calls it, but basically it will record whatever you are sending to the soundcards output.....press the record button....all the tracks will now be recorded on this new track (get as hot a level on the vu's as you can without clipping)......delete all other tracks except this new one..save it under a new name....your multitrack project will still be under the old name.....this isnt the best way to accomplish what you want, but it will work until YOU REGISTER!

thanks very much for your help. Its just a temporary solution until i register, but it's gonna really help me out. thanks again.
