mixing distorted guitars

I'm going to be trying an experiment with a new piece I have, this weekend.

I have only two Rhythm Guits, one more riffy and the other more chords. I'm going to pan them opposite and then send a mono reverb to the other side of the sound spectrum.
So if the Riffy guitar is panned left I'm going to have the reverb for it on the right and pan the chord playing guitar right and have it's verb over on the left.
Once that's done I'll have to EQ the verbs so there is not a lot of mud build up and to make sure the verb kinda stays behind the guitar rather than fighting with it but I think it might give an interesting stereo spread and full sound to the guitar parts without having to many guitars fighting each other for space and no mud slide in a stereo verb that is all over the mix of guitars.

Might be a different approach to think about or it might end up sounding terrible of course you never know

I'm a wordy motherfucker, and it's a VERY big subject.

Toss up a mp3 if you can, and I can try to provide a little more directed guidance.
