At last my crappy Behringer MX2442a 24 Channel desk has finally decided to give up on me, which gives me the great pleasure of replacing the thing.
I mainly used it for pre's when I would record drums.
I have a Layla24 and an ADA8000 which I use to get 16 inputs.
The ADA has some remotely decent pre's which I wouldn't mind using for drums.
I also have a nice Focusrite Pre which I use for vocals.
Here is my dilemma:
Do I go and buy a desk, with 8/16 decent pre's OR do I stick with the ADA and buy myself a couple of stereo preamps so I have 5 quality ones.
Are there any decent low priced desks with nice pre's and direct outs?
The mackie 8bus' seem to be going cheap, are they worth the money?
