Heya! Noobie in need of help!
Im on the journey of learning mixing and recording in my homestudio and need alot tip and tricks to improve
The demo iv recorded is a cover of Up All Night by Blink 182.
The demo was recorded in Cubase 7, with Focusrite saffire liquid 56 and two Focusrite Octopre mkii. The drums (4 pices set) is close miced with SM57 top and bottom, with two akg c1000 as overheads. The guitar is recorded through guitar rig 5 pro and bass recorded via mic se4400a and line in. The vocals are recorded on mxl v69m.
The mix is mostly based on presets and original VSTs from Cubase 7.
Here is the mix and its sound like crap having hard time getting right
So what can you here that's really wrong ?
and can you give me tips and tricks that can make it better would be much appreciated!!
If you have any vidds or forums you really learned from link em !
Thanks for the help!
