Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie on here, and I have been recording and mixing my band for a year or so now. I've got the usual frustrations about my mixes - especially when i play them back over laptop speakers!!

Other mixes (non commercial) that I hear on myspace etc sound full and mixed well, where as mine seem to lack some warmth and fullness. When i listen on my AKG semi open back studio headphones or my Alesis M1 monitors in my acoustically treated room the mixes sound great :-)

Even when i listen from outside the room there is good bottom end and fullness. As soon as I load them up on myspace they sound pants!!!!

Feedback on the mixes appreciated

Laptops suck - are you mastering?
Pick a song and post a link. Too many songs and you drive people away.

My Space compresses your mp3s to 96kbps 22kHz....I think the minimum youre going to get a half decent sound would be 128kbps on soundclick or reverb nation...better still would be dropbox or soundcloud at 320kbps

its really difficult for anyone to critique a track when Myspace has mangled it...saying that a good mix should translate anywhere

host a track youre having the most difficulties with on another website and people will be able to help
