Hello everyone, and thank you for checking out my post and i just ask that someone please reply to this question because i'm just getting started.

I have a computer c-port hooked up. if i hook a 24 track mixing board up to the input one, would i just need two moniters to play it and can i use all 24 tracks if i do that?

like i said, i'm new and don't know if i can even hook my mixer into my 1/4" input or not...thank you.

You don't need two monitors, but you should want to have two monitors. ;)

You might want to list ALL of the equipment that you are using.

to find out about the c-port go to www.staudio.com
and look for the DSP2000

that's the soundcard and interface i'm using

and i'm looking to buy a behringer eurorack 24 track mixer.

so i need to know if it will work if it just goes in my input 1 slot on my c-port

i'm also using around 5-7 mics, and guitars and stuff...

tell me if the mixer thing would work, please.

You will have as many seperate channels as the Cport has inputs. The Cport has 10 inputs so that is your max discreet record/playback channels at one time. You will need to run a cable from each channel direct out to each input on the Cport.

I'd recomend a Mackie or Spirit M board over the Behringer.

but i'm SO fucking limited money wise...you don't even understand...i'm to pennies right now, using every paycheck on something else....

i need help with my c-port then, fuck a mixer....

OK, i got my c-port working and stuff, it will record guitar and stuff, but for some damn reason the bastard will not playback at all in cubase or logic...

it will play other things, but the sound on cubase is not exsitstant...

where can i run moniters to on my outputs?

If you have powered monitors plug your c-port outputs into your monitor inputs...and if you have unpowered monitors and an amplifier, plug your C-port outs into amplifier's inputs, and amplifier's outs to monitors inputs....
hope it's of some help
