The Next Vanilla Ice
I own a Behringer Eurorack MX1604A 12-Channel Mixer and I want to know what everyone thinks about these. I've had this one for a little over a year and I haven't had any problems really? Are these mixers good for home recordings and stuff?

Are you happy with the results your getting? Thats what it comes down to. If it ain't broke...

I own a MX 1602a and I think it's just fine for starting out, I have had it for around 3 years, but just started recording about a year ago and I am now thinking about upgrading to a newer more efficient mixer (and with only two main outputs it really limits the number of different tracks that can be recorded at once). I think that for the price Behringers are a great choice of mixer and since you already have it, then I see no reason not to use it. It's not until you record for a while that you really start worring about getting the "best possible sound" to tape anyway. Just try to get the "best possible perfomance" to tape, then go from there.

you're opening up a can of worms here....

there's alot of behringer bashing on this board....

I also have a MX1604a and am happy with it. I think that they are fine mixers, for the price. I haven't seen all of the problems that I've read about here (poor construction, noisy, etc.). I'm using mine to feed a Delta44 and have had good results...

as was already stated...if you like what you're getting than why worry?
