I believe its a discontinued part from Tascam and not available anymore, so does anyone know where else "mickey knobs" can be obtained? (the part that joins two faders together so that they can be moved up or down simultaneously)

I'd like to get some for my M-512 and Model 2A mixers.

I'd like to get some for my M-512 and Model 2A mixers.

They were named after the engineer who designed it. I can't recall if that was his real or the Americanization of his Japanese name.

TASCAM needed such a device because their mixers had no stereo master buss and therefore, no fader for same. Users had to assign their mixes to an odd/even pair of sub masters and use their corresponding faders for level set and fades. The physical link theoretically allowed for an even fade when desired.

I can't tell you where to find any but a pencil is a decent and readily available substitute. Just rest it above the fader pair and pull down from the center space. Voila! Instant link.

I saw some once...on eBay...in a galaxy far, far away....

But the seller was asking an absolutely ridiculous amount of $$$ for them...
...so I passed.
