Mixer Choice (Final Countdown)

The power supply is outside of the mixer. This is probably a good thing BUT have you seen the power adapters for a laptop. You know the rectangular square do-hicky. Well this power supply is about 4x as big. HUGE. Yes the Yamaha is much lighter than the Mackie know I know why. It still is just another HUGE … did I say HUGE thing to deal with. I do miss not having the Mid-Range control that the Yamaha would have provided. Oh by the way did I forget to say that the power supply is HUGE. I guess you get the picture.

Yeah apparently having an outboard PSU is good for reducing potential noise/inteference issues, but if you're looking for portability I guess you have to go with what you can transport!
 
LOL its not the size of the mixer that counts...its how huge the power supply is
