Mixer channel troubles

Hi im relitivly new to home recording, i run sonar producers addition and i have a 10 track behringer mixer but if i put everything in it so i can record live it all goes onto one channel so i can edit induvidul things afterwards. Is there a way to get the computer to recognice the different channels so i can edit it afterwards. Any advice would be great thanks

You must have a soundcard or audio interface with multiple inputs, that would in turn accept individual channels from your mixer and record them seperately

Ok but there no wasy like a setting that i could use to do it on a single input soundcard

in the FOR SALE department of this BBS ..there is a guy selling a delta 1010 for dirt cheap..might wanna look into that!

ummm, no.
single input soundcard = single track.

Could be a stereo track or 2 mono tracks possibly with some creative routing.....if it is a stereo input in your soundcard.
