For some reason, I can only mix down to wma! Sonar 2.0 XL will mix sown to wav but when I open the wave file in windows media player, it says it is an unsupported file type. Any help?

Strange! Have you tried to open it in, f.ex. Winamp?

Look under Export audio. It gives choices of Wav, WMA real audio, etc. Mayber if you select wav there, it will change your settings?

Try making sure it is set at 16 bit instead of 24. I had the same problem a while back.

This sounds to be it... :)

Dmbpettit, do you have Soundforge, CoolEdit or another tool for editing wavefiles in? What's your soundcard?

I do have cool edit pro 2.0 and I am using a Audigy 2 Platinum card. I didn't use to have this problem.

...Can you open the files in Cool Edit Pro ? If so, check whether if it's saved as 24 or 16 bit. If it's 24, then try to save again as 16 bit...;)

I got it to work in 16 bit, what is the point of 24 bit if the players can not read it? Nero won't burn them either.

The "internal resolution" you have before exporting. You can get away with more since 24bit is more forgiving in the terms of recording, than 16 bit.

Just wait, DVD Audio is (hopefully) around the corner soon... :)
