What it everyone mixing to? I am about to buy a 24bit cdrw but it has no balanced ins only rca and s/pdif digital I/O. I want to mix to a 24bit medium then go directly into cool edit 24bit to....edit, then out to 24bit compresor then to cdr. But, what if i got outboard converters and a 16bit dat machine?? What would 24bits going into the digital in of the dat do?? I actually orderd the 24bit cdrw before seeing that it doesn't have balanced ins. THat's why i am thinking good outboard 24bit converter. The reason for all this 24bit crap is that a studio that i will soon be in competition with really accentuates on their 24 bit mastering crap. I am eventually getting the 24 bit harddisk system by tascam and want to get the whole thing up to higher standards...
