mix this

i have been a hobbist home recorder for 3 years now and i
am just beginning to think about upgrading/my setup is
kinda like the saying/50 cent equipment,50 cent results/
but/i just listened to 1 of my tracks on a very good
system and was very suprised/i can't believe that i have
been doing this stuff so well/i have a porta3 and a couple
of mics and a drum machine/i mix down to a boombox/i normally record 2 tracks direct and overdub 2 tracks and
mix down all 4 to the boombox/this works real well other
than the normal stuff like hiss/but what i can't believe
is the difference in playback on the boombox and a very
good system/the difference is so much that the only upgrade
i am thinking of is to get more tracks and keep doing things
like i do now and only listen to the mix on very good systems/any coments/

Comments about what?

Make it sound as good as any other recording when you hear it on a boom box, and it will sound simply amazing on a good stereo system.
