This sounds really, really good man. I noticed what the other comments said also but I was having different thoughts as I was listening before reading theirs.

Personally, I liked the bass and it didn't sound too boomy for the genre, but what I was thinking while listening was that it could have had some side-chain compression tied to the kick maybe as I think that's when it's most noticeable. If someone doesn't like the sound of it overall then that's not going to help of course.

I like the snare as well, but I feel like it is loud. Maybe overall, maybe it just needs some fader riding, it'd take some playing with.

I'm not sure which background vocals each person is talking about but I have little complaint with the main ones but the quiet ones that are around 1:57 (and other times) or so, I think need something. I don't know what the thought for them is here to know what I'd suggest but the first thing while listening that hit me would be doubling them, if they're not already, they sound a little thin and maybe panning those doubles slightly left and right, maybe not. I'm sure if you wanted to do something with them, then you would know what.

Thank you for the thoughts! Really cool idea on the compression. I had the snare mixed pretty loud for a pretty pop sound. I don't know if I want to lower it all too much. The backups are doubled but I usually have one be the lead and the double mixed lower. I might look into evening them out a bit more. I'm going to spend a little bit of time tomorrow doing a few last tweaks based on everyones comments and I'll post a final mix.

I'm actually really surprised the mix got a lot of positive feedback. I usually have a tough time getting everything pretty clear and cut in a mix.

You've all helped a ton. I look forward to lending an ear on your mixes coming up :)
