Sorry it's taken me so long to reply folks...thanks very much for the comments.
Pikinrin - thanks for the comment there, glad you like it. It's cool when someone relates to what you're doing! i have decided to spend the next while more involved in my music so we'll see how that turns out, but thanks again, its encouraging to know that other people may be able to get something from it too.
Tim - thanks for the critique, always appreciated. You're definitely right about the pitch correction, its sortof cringe inducing in parts. Unfortunately i was pushed for time when i was doing the vocals as i can only do them at the parents house, (neighbors etc) and i dont have any software for correcting it, so unfortunately it'll be like that for a while now. As far as the intro goes, i trimmed it down to the actual start of the song...i tried leaving a phrase or two in as you said Tim, but it didn't work too well. I think that leaving the intro for an album starter may be the best bet. Thanks for the idea though.
Regarding the quality of myspace tracks, I was unaware that they were downgraded when you upload...I uploaded the track at 192kBps and i thought that I was sacrificing the streaming speed for this. But maybe not.
I think that although there is obviously a huge difference between the quality of a track on myspace and CD quality, as far as getting your music out to people goes, its by far good enough for an every day music fan to get the picture as to what the music is about. I'll definitely check out lightningmp3.com for posting on here though, thanks for that Tim.
Thanks for the comments again folks, I'll hopefully have some more stuff up soon.
