minidisc to cd?

how does everyone go about mastering from MD to CD?

i am thinking of doing it with something like pro-tools (ie. playing each song, then bouncing to an aiff or cda track and burning like that, then using that cd to burn to others, so i kind of have two masters)

any suggestions?

You can, [I better say this first or Bruce will tell you], buy a Masterlink by Alesis and just run your RCA outs from the MD8 into the Masterlink and use its internal software to set up your CD and Burn away.

Of course there are other CD burners that will let you burn exactly the same way. Only thing is, some of them don't do much to help you get a good CD.

Or, you could buy a Yamaha DAW2816 or its older brother, the 4416, and do your entire productions in the digital mode.

Depends on your budget. But, you certainly can burn a CD from the MD8.
