i want to burn CDs from my minidisc player. i can plug in the minidisc player through the "line in" on my computer and listen to the minidisc on the computer speakers BUT can`t figure out how to burn the music onto CD. i am using adaptec easy CD creator....help please

Thomas, I'm looking into doing the same thing, and am in the process of educating myself, too. What I know for sure is that you need to record what's on the MD as a .wav file on your HD, then burn that onto the CD using the CD creator software. Those are just the major jumps, lots of little details in between.

I'd suggest starting by trying to run the MD output into the line in on your soundcard, and using whatever sw you have access to, to produce the .wav file.

Sounds like you need a .wav recording program like Sound Forge/ Goldwave/ Cool Edit/ CW
etc. etc. I used the freeware CoolEdit96 for many years. Have you got a comfortable spot on your HD for 650MB? Have you tried burning a disc from .wav files on your HD or an image file of another CD?
