Mineral Wool Sheets at 8lbs/ft^3...Too Dense?

I've found a source for some Mineral Wool sheets. They are 24"x48" and it sells for $3.88. It's a good price at just under .50 ft^2. However, it is 8lbs/ft^3. My questions is...will this negativly affect absorbtion if I make some accoustic panels using this? All of the rigid fiberglass I've seen reference to on the board is 2-6lbs/ft^3 with 2-3lbs being about normal. What do you think? Below is the info...

Mineral Wool Sheets

• Temperature Range: 0° to 1200° F
• Heat Flow Rate: 0.23 Btu/hr. x in./sq. ft. @ 75° F
