for the most part...I thought the music was pretty nice. However, there where problems that seemed to differ from track to track. One track was overloaded sounding, the next was low level and hissy, another track started 10 seconds after the mp3 commenced, other tracks the guitar really dominated the mix, another seemed mixed bass heavy....... It really got me to wonder because the keys and music...and the guitar most of the time really where quite good, and the recording seemed to take away from the "polish" of the quality tunes. I enjoy instrumental guitar music VERY much, and really can appreciate this kind of music. I did wait for some "oh my gosh!!" kinda guitar playing, but it never seemed to happen. Just nice melodic, "safe" playing. Granted...all beautiful and melodic...but not "stepping outside the box."

for the music, I'd have to give a 8.5

the recording overall...down to a 7

the guitar playing...very nice, but needed the extra "something"..therefore a 8.75

the keys and production ideas...I loved it...9.5

It just bugs me that's all.
It's definitly not a funny,cool,witty,or lighthearted subject.
I think a lot of people don't realise this,or tend to forget it.

It's serious one.
Deadly serious to some!

That's all I meant.

Chris, you know in no way shape or form was I talking to you buddy!:)

OK lets just get over it shall we?

Yes the Title was a bad attempt at humor, Im very sorry, and that pic of me didnt help im sure, but the bigger point made is that you all got past it and listened to the music. For that Im thankful. I would agree with you Mixmkr that Im not a very "WOW" type guitarist, I try to be but Im not gonna lost sleep over it because I am who I am. I play everyday and hopefully Ill get that "WOW" at some point. Im completely self taught like most of us, but since Ive learned to play all the other instraments It has taken away from my guitar "WOW" Im sure. I wouldnt change a thing though , Im way happy with things the way they are. Its hard doing everything yourself sometimes. Most of those recording were a mixing nightmare done straight to my computer thru a tascam 688, buzzing and humming like a fookin bee hive, now that I got a VS 2480, there has been some improvement but I have alot to learn since coming from analog to digi and the 2480 is the top O da line all in one toy, theres stuff in there i havent even used yet....

Thx everyone for listening, sorry again about the "really bad humor choice"

Well we got off to a bad start!:D
It's just one of those things I feel strongly enough about to open my mouth about, which isn't often.
I said what I had to say, hope you can understand that.

(Your picture really had nothing to do with it,I used to have hair down to my arse, wear a leather jacket, and ride a motorcycle,so I know you can't judge a book by it's cover.)

I listened to Popwaltz.
Man you can really play guitar!
Nice big recording, sounds great, how did you record the guitar?

Pete

that guitar is something else....

back in the 90s cort came out with what they called a "Les Paul Kit" basically it was a neck and body piece cut and unfinished to the specs of a les paul. I got one as a gift from a good friend and since we had a buddy that ran a music store, he said he would build this guitar for me. Well, I pulled out all the stops, 3 pick ups, Al dimiola set in the bridge, and the middle and neck pick ups are some top of the line Di marzios, I cant remember what, but they were expensive like $250 each. I told Mike that I wanted the Bridge & neck pickups to go from doubles to singals by way of pop up pots. Well It took Mike 2 weeks just to set the neck, he installed all the hardware a week later and then told me, " I will never make another guitar for anyone as long as I live." haha I burned him out. The guitar, can easy reach over 12 different tones, its awesome. My processor is a roland GP 100, looped is a BBE 462 sonic maximizer. I go direct to board since the GP 100 has speaker sims, so I can still get that rich warm "emoshatone".

Well, I'm a geezer and I have to say I don't get what the fuss is about the picture. Just looks like a musician to me.

I just listened to Spanish Lullaby and it's very nice.....nice playing, nice tone, a good professional sounding recording.
Ok I'm listening to Daydream right now......absolutely no comparison in sound quality...not nearly as good as the Roland. That's some good music there man, you can be proud of that.

For the record it's Mein Kampf. And I agree that it's a poor choice as a conversation starter for all the obvious reasons. And I think that you already knew it because you were pretty quick to assume that we all hated you before we really got a chance to respond. BUT.....it was very cool of you to deal with that as quickly as you did so welcome, and thanks for sharing you very nice music with us.

Sigma9, you are indeed a talented fellow. I have to admit I had to look at this title a few times before venturing in.
I love your style. The recordings have just some minor issues, and I'm sure you're aware, sounds like you did what you could.;)
That "WOW" that you mentioned earlier will come for you, I'm sure of it. There's something that I hear in your playing that tells me it's going somewhere. I can't wait to get through all these songs. Thanks for the listen, great work, keep it up!

Oh, just got to Fu2, that's a good one hehe :p

Hahaha

ok I better clear this up before it gets anymore out of hand.....

VHS - Van Halen Shit.... I swear that I was on the shitter when some Halen song came over my daughters TV, so I thought to myself I can do that style.....and thats what I came up with.

FU2- doesnt mean F**K you to, it means F**K U2. Dont get me wrong I like the irish boys just fine. I just wish they would get thier balls back. Its funny I used to mess around with alot of delay guitar melodies befor I heard U2.

Dude,
I woke up this mornining and relized,I was so friggin tired from work last night,I totally missed the fact that your thread title and first post were an attempt at just being humorus, because none of your music is even close to being Nazi rock.
Just a bad choice of words.
I read it and didn't even listen to the music, you must really think I'm an A hole!

I still stand by everything I said about Adolf scumbag.
And I'd say it again, but I think I owe you an apology for jumping the gun, feel free to ignore me from now on!:D
1-Apology:eek:

Pete

I listened to 'pop waltz' and it was a nice piece, but I was excpecting some 'Skrewdriver' type hardcore, or something..

oh well,

excellent guitar playing!

I got the jokes BIG TIME, right away actually. My bass palyer and I have this U2 thing (that we just can't stand them basically) and were practically rolling on the floor when we heard Fu2 LOL :D
