I have purchased "Sonar" for my son and we both have a question on recording. How does one record 5 seperate mike inputs to 5 seperate tracks? I understand the process with his Tascam424, but how does one do it in the digital world? Right now we can only do one mike at a time.
Thanks

You should be able to select which input on your sound card you want on each track in Sonar.

Example Track 1-Input 1
Track 2-Input 2
etc, etc

I was wondering the same thing about Sonar.
My SB has only one decent input.
My Delta 66 has a couple with the box.

What your saying Tukkis is, if I understand you right, you record one track at a time if you have only one input?

I haven't done any recording with Sonar yet. I get so confused when I open it up.
I've been using my VS840.

Yeh

so if you are using a soundblaster to record, you can record 2 seperate tracks simultaniously because the soundblaster has one STEREO input with means 1 Track - LEFT Input and 2 Track - RIGHT Input.
