Midiverb 4 as discrete 2-channel processor?

Hi!
First time poster, so please forgive the "newbie".

Anyway, I have a midiverb 4 in our PA rack. We would like to use it as a discrete 2 channel effects processor, if that's possible. The manual "implies" that it may be but I couldn't find anymore than that. Tech Support told me the same thing; "Should be possible, but not sure how to do it".
In other words, here is what I would like to be able to do:
From our board, feed aux send 3 to left/ch1 input and feed aux send 4 to right/ch2 input. Feed left/ch1 output back to aux return 3 and feed right/ch2 output to aux return 4. That part I know is obviously possible as it's just cableing. However, I would like to be able to apply two completely different effects to each channel on the midiverb. Say, if using presets, apply effect 69 to channel 1 and effect 49 to channel 2.
Is this possible with this unit?
Thanks in advance!

The only possibility you have of doing this is:

Set up a patch that has one effect on the left channel, and a different effect on the right channel. You HAVE to make sure too that what is inputting to the left input ONLY goes to the effect you want on the left, and that effect is ONLY going to the left output. All the same for the right input and output.

On my Quadraverb 2, I can do this vary thing! I set up a patch with say delay and chorus and make the delay input/output routing the left I/O and the chorus the right I/O

I am not sure if the Midiverb 4 offers this same routing options.

What I DO know is that you cannot run two different patches on the box at the same time! So, you will no be able to have patch 1 and patch 2 running at the same time, nor ANY other combination. You would have to get into some pretty high end processors that have independent effects engines to do that. The Lexicon 480L comes to mind....:D

Hope this is helpful and good luck.
