midiverb 3 problems

anyone had this problem with a midiverb 3 ?

occasionally the clip light will light up continuously with no signal present and the led display flashes, whilst a clicking sound appears at the output.....

it's an old friend and i don't want to junk it, so any help would be appreciated.
 
i have had similar problems with my nanoverb. i had the wrong power supply hooked up to it. when i turned it on the clip light came on after about 2 seconds and made clipping noises with no signal present
 
i've tried switching the power supply with my nanocompressor, but the problem continued. it's actually settled down for the moment...fingers crossed !
