ok i want to hook up my v-amp2 to a midi interface to usb....i went to radio shack and the guy said i would blow out my v-amp2 if i use usb because usb has lots of votage...is this true? heres a link to v amp if u dont know what im talking about http://www.v-amp.com/V-AMP2/index.cfm if there a way i can use the midi i have no midi interface on my computer can some one suggest a midi interface that is cheap so i can hook my v- amp2 to it?

Whoever told you that doesn't know what he's talking about. You should be connecting to a MIDI port, not a USB port, corrrect? USB can carry a small amount of power along with data signals, but nothing that could blow anything up...

And...

If you just want to change the effects using MIDI to the V-Amp it doesn't have anything do to with USB... Besides - they won't even plug in...

Is that what you want to do???
Just change Patches??? Are you using a sequencer with it???
I'm lost...

I suspect what he's trying to run is a Behringer "editor/librarian" - as we used to call 'em back in the day...
