Hey everybody, I'm looking for a program or any ideas as to how I could assign a digital photo file to each note of my keyboard so that when I play said note the photo is displayed on my computer (it would be used for live performance). Any thoughts?

Thanks

You'd probably need to write a program to do this. There is a good MIDI library in the Python language; try it out.

Although I have just got back into music and visual art post military career, and fully admit I am learning more and more about use of midi every day for my all hardware synth-based studio; can tell you a midi interface such as MOTU Time Piece, USB 2.0 has software within (WIN or Mac) that you can utilize S.M.P.T.E., which is time code linked to images and midi time code and music and is in fact what every motion picture studio and home video editing nerds like me will eventually utilize as well.
Here's a link to get you started down the rabbit hole and it actually is quite logical and although MOTU Time Piece is not only option, is quite known for dependability and can get used for between $99 to $200. USD. SMPTE Just make sure you get USB 2.0 based unit because older units will have computer serial ports instead and it will also serve same purpose at same time as your midisport8x8.
That link should help you understand options that you do **not** have to have some special program written for you and some audio interfaces for your DAW will have "Clock Out" which through other connections can link MIDI, MIDI Time Code (MTC), and S.M.P.T.E. Also, you do not need something like Adobe Audition because am pretty sure even Windows Movie Maker has ability to link this code that should help you do exactly what you want and more.
Peace
