Hello,
About a year and 1/2 ago, my wife's students recorded a bunch of midi only songs (using Kurzweil PC88, US-224 and Cakewalk HomeStudio). I converted all the midi tracks to audio and then created the wav files and then created a CD.
Now, I want to do it again and I seemed to have forgotten how I did it. My main questions are:
1.) Can I record the midi to audio directly -- just like I was using a internal soundcard in the PC (except that the sound generator is an external soundcard -- the Kurzweil PC88)?
or
2.) Do I have to use the Left/Right outputs from the Kurzweil into the Line inputs of the US-224?
I just can't remember how I did it last time. It seems to me that it was real easy last time, so I have been attempting to do 1) above. The input to the audio track is just the virtual US-224 AB stereo output.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
*** I did post this on the Tascam forum and someone answered pretty quickly that I have to do 2) above. That makes sense, but I thought I would ask it here also.
