MIDI through a USB port?

I would like to use the editing software that came with one of my Guitar Pre Amps.

The Pre Amp has a midi in/out. BUT my soundcard does not have a midi connection and it does'nt have a game port either...

Do they make a cable that will go from the MIDI out of the Pre Amp and to a USB port on my computer.. Will this work?
