it seems like every istrument i load into the MP is being read and played by it. I only want the MP to trigger the ASR.

Midi Base Channel 1
Transmit on Instrument Chan
Base Channel Pressue-Key
Midi In Mode - Omni
Midi controllers OffMisi Sys-Ex - On
Midi Program Change -On
Midi Song Select- OnMidi xCtrl # -50
Multi Controllers Off
Enter Plays -Key b3
What's wrong?
If you want to have an old-school ASR + MPC setup, then cut the computer completly out of the chain and just set the MPC as the master, the ASR as the slave and go from there. It's important that you get the midi 'in' mode on the ASR right - if you want to play more than one instrument sound at a time it should be set to 'multi'.coffeecann said:a little better. Almost there.

Sounds like you're giving us the okey-doke because you've been in class long enough today and you're tired of wrestling with it.coffeecann said:Thanks to all by the way. I did get the sampler/sequencer thing worked out. Now I need to figure out how to do individual passes to drop the individual sounds to PC, but that's another lesson.
