Hi,
I'm using a Yamaha PSR-275 keyboard, and a midi to usb cable to cut out the interface, it's connecting and sending signal (i've tried it before on Cubase 4 - Windows XP). At the minute, i'm running an Acer Windows 7 Laptop with 3GB RAM, a 320GB HDD and i have a Seagate 1tb external hard-drive.
Would anyone recommend any good, relatively easy to use midi programs, where i could track basic virtual instruments, i.e piano / strings / wind instruments etc easily and then export them individually to add them to my primary DAW for mixing, Adobe Audition CS5.5.
The reason i stopped using Cubase 4, was because it didn't appear to have that many great basic VSTs, i've Cubase 5 & 6 have wonderful VSTs, but i'm not sure if my laptop could handle the program?
Thanks,
Paul
