Hey guys hoping someone can help me out.

I have an input and output MIDI connection to my computer and want to hook up my Behringer Vamp (in and out) & Korg pro (in out and thru) so I can use both devices on my computer without having to unplug the in out on the vamp and put them in my keyboard everytime I want to use the other device. Is there a way I can daisy chain (if so how?) or is there a some other type of hardware I need?

Please advise. I do not use both devices simultaniously...

chain the midi through the one that has the thru port, so midi out from comp to midi on on Korg, midi thru to the Vamp. Make sure each device is on a different midi channel.

Midi out of the korg to midi in on comp

So each device should have a way to assign a midi channel...so once setup all I have to do is select what channel in the software to control the midi for that device???

I will give it a try when I get home, thanks!

Each device should have a mici receive parameter. This is what you would set the outgoing channel in your sequencer to.

Also, if the device is capable of transmitting midi (most are), then it will also have a midi transmit parameter. This is important to know if you wish to be able to differentiate incoming midi (since most sequencers are by default set to read omni in, that is, all channels indiscriminantly).
