midi recording

i'm not a ver good piano player so i was woundering if there is a way to make one of my programs that does midi piano and play the peice from that program and record in cubase. i've tried it hasn't worked, but i'm new to this so any help would be apreciated. Thanx a lot -Mark
 
This is most of what I do with MIDI, but in CW. Ask your question in the Cubase Forum. It's definitely possible.
I play the MIDI file in CW and record in Vegas Pro, although I've also used CW and Cool Edit to record the audio produced by the synthesizer playing the MIDI file.
 
the problem i had when i tried to do it is that the midi interface i have didn't even count what was being played as input. so i can't record it, but it does record if i played something on the piano, but not if i play something through midigraphy and try to record on cubase
