MIDI question about program changes

I am using a Behr(please...)inger FCB 1010 foot contoller with a Line 6 DuoVerb head. The Line6 allows 36 presets and works perfectly well. Then I add in a couple of old rack pieces. SO far, I wanted to use a MidiVerb4 and/or a Roland SRV-2000. Although both rack gear pieces are old, there should be no issues with MIDI issues, eh? Both units work well. No MIDI functions will change with the 1010 and Line6 vs. the two rack pieces- at all.

I have checked all cables and apparant settings (having all four manuals accessable) but to no avail.

Any suggestions?:confused:
 
whats the chain look like and do all have "receive external program change" enabled? Have you checked to see if the FCB is actually sending a program change with something like midi ox?

I would say hook each device up to the controller and test them one at a time to make sure it will receive a program change correctly

*breath* thank you...

When I connect the 1010 to the Line6, everything is working, but when connecting directly to any other rack unit, it doesn't seem to work. Something must be connecting somewhere... I will review all the manuals for a external program change settings, and report back...
