Hey guys, maybe you know of a resource to help me with something. I bought a Evolution MK461C to go with my Roland VR-760. The Idea was to use the Evo to control the synth on the V-Combo and use the V-Combo's native keyboard for piano and organ. So far i have only been able to accomplish this using the V-combo's keyboard split feature.

The V-Combo's MIDI setup is:

Channel 1 = control & Organ
Channel 4 = piano
Channel 5 = synth
Channel 10 = drums

If I set the Evo's control channel to 5 (synth) it only works if the Roland keyboard has Synth in context either directly or as a split.

How do I back-door this thing to access the synth directly regardless of the context of the Roland's keyboard?

Do I keep the control channel on 1 then program the target channel (5) into each control I want to use?

Thanks in advance!

Im certainly no genius on this subject, but have you tried accessing different sounds via the evo without it already being selected on the Roland?... maybe the roland doesn't let you do that... (i dunno! maybe i've just shown my incompetence on this subject by just saying what i did!) sorry!
