MIDI Matching DRUMS. Quantize

Hello!

I have a really good drums section recorded live, i mean, digital audio. It's recorded 75 bpm but there are slight variations in the "clicks" from the drummer. I mean, he doesn't match the metronome as a machine would do.

I'm recording some midi tracks and I want to quantize them to the audio drums track, not to the midi metronome. Can SONAR "guess" where are the "strong beats" of the drum section and quantize MIDI tracks to that? I know that Cubase had an option that looked for the srong beats of the drum track.

This function is not native to Sonar, maybe there's a plug-in?
 
I'm pretty sure there is such a function in SONAR. Yep, it's called Extract Timing. It's under the Edit menu, in the Audio submenu. The manual and the help system describe how to use it.
