Hello. Just wondering what would people recommend as a CHEAP MIDI keyboard-controller. I'm not looking fopr anything fancy, or anything that plays it's own stuff standalone, if you get me. Just a keyboard to input into cubase/fruity loops, with the usual wheels and things to control stuff. Can anyone recommend one, preferably cheap, and especially if I can get it from a UK supplier (I'm not too keen on ordering across the atlantic!)?

Also, I've just started mucking around with fruity loops. The scratcher plug-in (where you can scratch a sample) is quite funny - but what's the point? I've noticed you can't record any movements in the automation (none of the controls bring up a red dot in the status bar of FL), so how do you record the output from this plug-in to stick into FL (or anything else)?

Cheers

Jim

This is in the wrong forum for your question. You should go to the Keyboards and Sound Modules forum and post it there.

Or try posting it in the Sonic Foundry Forum. Some of the people over in that forum use FLP.

The Evolution Mk125 is £50. Readily available in the UK (I've got one). Only has about twenty keys though. SOS reviewed it. The article's on line. I'd post the link but I can never get theirs to work.

The keyboard doesn't work too well with Fruity BTW. It's fine with everything else. I think it's a problem with Fruity.

Try searching the keyboard and modules forum... This question has been quite popular the latest months.
