I am in search of some form of midi file that documents the programming of some common secular songs. Is there a program as such that exists and how do I go about finding it? I am simply trying to get into the mind of some of the industry heads to see what separates most of these big name producers from the general population. just curious...

Ugh...

Sorry, but I couldn't get your topic. Could you explain more clear & specific ?

basically...

are there sites that offer the midi information for recorded tracks. for example, I want to see how Teddy Riley constructed the track for Michael Jacksons' "Heaven Can Wait". It was not recorded with live instruments so I know that there exists some form of midi documentation for the recording. Are there websites that have files that can be loaded into pc, etc...to view the actual midi information...

sorry if not clear, but can't figure any other way....wait....its almost like viewing a score with sheetmusic. The music is available to see so that you can play along....is there something like this for midi? a map detailing the song?

Most midi files found on the internet are/were done by fans and amatuers. The artists won't post up any of their personal works. If so, it's rare!
