I received a MIDI Controller as a gift (M-Audio Radium). Aside from messing around with the demo software it came with, is anybody out there experienced with MIDI controllers? Specifically, I just want to get an idea of what software to use. Sorry if this issue may have been covered recently already.

I have the same keyboard and use it with the softsynths that came w/ Sonar.

What software do you use for sequencing or audio recording?

Your keyboard will allow you to use any free Dxi's or VSTi's you might find in google.

I've been using Vegas 4.0 for recording and Fruity Loops for creating simple drum loops. I don't really do any sequencing because I don't have any software for it. I know Fruity Loops can utliize the controller, but I haven't figured out how it can be useful for me yet. Note that I am totally new at this thing so I'm still trying to figure it out. That's why I wanted to know what software some people are using so I can get some direction that way. I've been thinking about getting Sonar for awhile now. Maybe that's what I'll have to do.

I second Native Instruments. Great stuff!! Just got the B4 and it's awesome!
