please don't kill me :o

I'm shure this has been asked b4, but is it possible to controll windows with a keyboard? lets say if you hit a middle "c" on the keyboard, the start menue will pop up. and the pitch bend will change the volume or something like that.

I use win XP pro (SP2)
delta 1010lt sound card
and a Optimus MD-1600 keyboard

(don't ask me hwy I would want to do this.. i just want to.. also than I should beable to set it up to press a 'b' to start recording or something...)

Very possible. You have to have a sequencer program running first though in order to recognize midi commands. Most sequencers have Hot Key options built in to do lots of windows tasks using note commands. I'm somewhat familiar with how to do it in Cakewalk/Sonar, but don't regularly use this feature.

Yes, just depends on the sequencer program's abilities.

I used to use the midi control functions in N-Track Studio that way.

I had the upper keys of my 88-key AlesisQS8 set up to record, stop, play, etc.
(no one ever uses the top half-dozen keys anyway...)
