Ive been running cakewalk to do my recordings in audio and midi. Things seem to screw up when I try to do both in the same project, is it impossible to record midi and audio at the same time? Is it possible to record audio on one track and midi on the other? And should I be using a different program for my midi sequencing because cakewalk doesnt seem to be working out so well. Thanks.

It should work real good. I record midi and wave at the same time in different racks sometimes, never had a problem. Usually itis better to record the midi first and run the midi and record the audio. Cakewalk is one of the best user friendly midi sequencers available, so switching for some other program just for midi is a waste.
If you can be more specific about your problem someone in the forum can help you out. Check your midi connections and look under Options > Audio, Options > Midi Devices and go over them again.

My midi interface stops responding after I do an audio recording in the same session. So I have to restart my computer.
