Hello all - not posted here before, but thought someone might know about these...

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/spangled99/mics0001.jpg

These have been in a box in my attic for years since I found them in a junk shop. There's about 5 each of the smaller ones, most of which work, and two of the larger (one not working). Some of them say Stagesound on them. The smaller ones are ribbon mics, aren't they? What are they good for? Do they need anything else, like a preamp, to work right?

The connectors seem nonstandard (small)

i've never seen them before in my life.
the only good way to know what they're good on is to test them on a number of things, then tell us what you think!

sure are strange looking things.....

Thats Elvis's mic from Jailhouse Rock.

Just Kidden, But im interested myself to see what they are.

Hmm, I'm not even close to recognizing them. The smaller ones may well be ribbon mics. Hell, the big one could be too...

If it's not too much to ask...

If it's only a screw or two, and you can very very safely remove the cover on a couple of them we'd all love to tell you what's making them tick...
