Microphone best for me?

The yeti just doesn't sound good to me at all :/ I'm just looking for something really clean and crisp, and I already know how to do processing, and vocal editting to get things sounding smooth. I just need to get that clean and crisp sound down (with the mic), then I can do the rest with software.

Of what you have already accomplished with your USB micrphone.

Yeh, sorry. That's what I meant.

I'm just thinking to myself, your dislike of the mic might be down to the mic itself.
It could be down to bad mic technique or a bad sounding room, or maybe the recording just needs some tasteful processing.

Of course, It could just be the mic, but if you post a clip I'll have a listen and maybe play around with it if you want.

ohh sorry. I don't actually have the mic, I've just heard a lot of reviews on youtube, and all of the covers I've heard with the yeti arent really great.

I know you're looking at interfaces and xlr mics again, but have you seen this?

I looked at a lot of yeti reviews on youtube there out of interest, and the majority of them are people talking about the mic, but recording their voice through their laptops!!! what's the point!?!

The above link does the same thing, but he switches to the mic about two minutes in.
Watch from about 3 minutes in. He demonstrates the patterns quite well.

I gotto say I'm really loving the Samson CO2 for vocals...and just about anything else.
