Micing Fire

This wouldn't be micing it but I've made a realistic fire by playing big chords on my keyboard. The sound? You guessed it, I have a 'vinyl crackle' sound in my Yamaha RM1x. When I moved the chords around the crackles and pops at different frequencies made it sound much more realistic than I thought it would. A multitimbral fire, if you will.
The trick is to play the fire as Franz Liszt would have, though...
