Micing drums, the AFTERMATH

Back to the drums. Take all that stuff out of the bass drum. Take the drums out of the closet. Take all the tape off of the drums and tune them. The overhead needs to be farther away.

True and not true. The BIG difference is the ball. The flat head design of a 57 is what makes it ideal for this situation. Of course, it dosn't mean there's a rule against using a 58 to mic drums.
