Potentially stupid question. Just got this Audiobox bundle which came with a condenser mic and mic stand. The mic is supposed to screw right into the stand, but doesn't fit. Am I missing something??

It's the other thread size adapter in there, take it out.
Even more fun is when they come on the stand, in which case the stand's threads- being smaller, come off easier than the big threads in the clips.

^^^That.^^^^^ .....and don't try to screw in the part with the 3 pins, it won't work.

Either way. I've managed to grab if with pliers, but you're right.
OP, Mixsit's right. Try a big silly screwdriver.

You can ususally find a coin that fits? Then the slots in the adaptor look just proud of the mic clip to me, you can surely find a piece of metal that works, try back of a knife blade...CAREFUL!
It is worth scanning 'Zon for "mic adaptor inserts" and getting 1/2 doz variants. Very cheap I would guess $10 for six?

Just use a dime. The adapter fits European standard mic stand threads.
