I've just upgraded to windows 11 and my mic sounds completely different. I have to turn up the gain on my USB interface to 3/4 to sound the same volume as windows 10 at 1/4 gain.

Plus the mic just sounds completely different. Anyone else experience this?

I've checked all the input volume and drivers and all is the same as windows 10.

AKG P220 mic and umc22 USB interface.

I'm not an expert on this but in layman's terms, if you are using an audio interface then the computer's sound card that came pre-installed on the machine needs to be disabled or bypassed. This is done in the settings. When you upgraded from Windows 10 to 11, the setting could possibly have reset itself and re-enabled the computer's stock sound card. All this means is you would have to go into the settings and make sure the computer is recognizing the audio interface for recording. Interface might need to be plugged in and powered on for the computer to recognize it. Oh yeah, and don't forget about checking to see if the audio interface drivers are up to date.

Maybe someone with more technical expertise can chime in. I just sell propane and propane accessories.
