Mic Questions

Hello, I just have a few quick questions I've been meaning to ask someone about .
First off, is the Sennheiser MD-421 good for both high toms, low toms, and snare?

Second, is the Shure KSM condensor mic line good for vocals/ good in general, or are there any other LDC's you recommend over those mics for vocals?

421's are great mics for drums.... in general I wouldn't really put one on a snare, but I suppose if you put the low roll off set to a decent place it would work. And KSM's mics are pretty good vocal mics, there's always better but there pretty reliable.
