hello,
i just bought some new gear on friday including a studio projects b1 mic.
i plugged the mic(with new xlr) into my audio buddy which goes right into my audiophile 24/96.
i switched on phantom power and waited a while, nothing came through at first so i tried the switches on the side and it started to work but the signal was a bit low.then for some reason the mic started to produce this noise,i've tried all the switches and different preamp channels but it's still the same and i can't hear my voice at all when speaking into the mic.
the mic is literally right out of the box and i've not dropped it or banged it or even sung into it,just managed to play my acoustic into it for about a minuite before i got this noise.

this is the noise, takes a while sorry.

i've sent an e-mail to the place where i orderd it from(delivered by courier) but it could be a while before i hear anything,so i just wonderd if there was anything you guys think i could try out before sending it back.
cheers.
rick.

i cant here anything (only have a aiso hooked up right now so i cant do streaming) think you could put a downlaod of it somewhere so i can listen and see if i can help, maybe lightning mp3 or soundclick

nevermind i through an extra soundcard in the machine.... could be the diaphram is wet... but since you just pulled it out the box that probably isnt the case this might be a good time to use that warrenty

thanks for the reply anyway,i'll just try and get it replaced.

cheers for the link noisedude,i'm off out now so i'll check it out later and register. :)

i've only just managed to get my replacement mic today :D
