Mic cables on studio monitors ok?

Hi...The cables that I bought to use on my monitors say "high grade, low noise microphone cable" on them.

Do i have to worry about anyhing or is shielding an issue? How do I even know if it has shielding?


They are XLR to 1/4.
 
are your monitors passive or active? that will make a difference.
 
If they are TRS to xlr then you should be fine. Assuming active monitors. Mic cables are always shielded, so are instrument cables. Speaker cables (cables that go between the amp and the speaker) are not shielded.
