whats the best way to prevent mic bleed if any when micing a guitar and vocal at the same time (singer playing guitar)
 
You cant prevent it.

You can however reduce it by pointing the guitar mic down at the guitar and away from your (the singers) head.

Vice versa for the vox mic. Point it away from the guitars body and up toward the vocalists mouth.

Also, hypercardioid pattern mic(s) will aid in your goal as well.
They have better rejection at the back and sides than standard cardioid mics do.

hypercardioid typically have a less rejection at the back than standard cardioid, but definately more rejection at the sides..

New one on me. GOOD TIP

Whatever the case a hyper would tighten things up.
I know this because ive experimented for quite some time with this technique.
